Culture Connects Us
We are a family of more than 14,000 employees. The culture we create together honors that the dimensions of diversity are vast and intersecting, and that means we all have something in common, something special to contribute and something to seek out in others. That is the magic of creating an environment that actively includes all people and perspectives. When it happens, it makes us all better. We grow and learn from each other. We become stronger and more innovative.
Taking Action
A diverse and inclusive culture takes effort and intention. At Amway, it’s a priority, and we’ll never stop doing what it takes to keep moving forward. As with any priority, it requires strategic action and habits in our personal and professional lives. We know these are small steps. We are listening and learning about what more we can do, and how to be better.
Inclusive & Accountable Leaders
Starting at the top, our highest levels of leadership are walking the talk and championing an inclusive, welcoming culture. Our leadership is passionate about helping employees expand their knowledge and perspectives, learn more about others, and offer their diverse perspectives and ideas.
A Culture that Includes Everyone
Amway is a family on so many levels, and we will keep finding new ways to support employees both personally and professionally – empowering everyone to be their true selves and reach their full potential. We’re listening, working together to do the right thing and asking ourselves every day if we are doing those things for all.
Diversity Supports Our Business Goals
We are amplifying new educational resources and trainings for everyone to be part of the solution, including new and expanded partnerships to fill our talent pipeline. We’re taking the data to heart – to help ensure diverse representation at all levels, through community engagement, recruitment and hiring, and employee development and promotions.
Executive DE&I Council
Our Global Executive DE&I Council is helping to identify and monitor goals, and is driving accountability to create a team that is more reflective of our diverse world.
Inclusion Networks
At Amway we're proud of our employee-run Inclusion Networks: the Women's Inclusion Network, Pride Inclusion Network, Multicultural Inclusion Network, and Young Professionals Network. Inclusion Networks are an opportunity for our employees to come together to foster a sense of belonging, provide opportunities for networking and support career development. Employees are encouraged to join any (or all) of them which equips employees to be effective workplace allies.
Targeted Recruiting
To better attract, retain and advance diverse employees in the talent pipeline, we are leveraging new and expanded relationships with organizations that advance inclusivity. In the U.S. for example, we are utilizing platforms to extend our reach and further developing our partnerships with diverse professional organizations and other local and national minority-serving institutions.
Education & Awareness
We are building forums for open and honest dialogue; encouraging the sharing of personal stories; hosting Unity Circles and Unity Runs; and amplifying educational resources and trainings, including an annual Day of Understanding and an 8-week Inclusive Environment Learning Journey for leaders and employees around the world.
Celebrating Global Milestones
At Amway, we strive to build a culture of creating equal opportunities, respect and encourage everyone to demonstrate inclusive behavior to support diversity as a business enabler. We are proud to share that Amway India has won the prestigious Gender Equality in the Workplace Award in the Times of India & Ask Insights: Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Awards 2020.
Bringing People Together
As a global company whose founding premise is that “This Business is for Everyone,” Amway has long recognized that diversity, equity and inclusion are critical to our success. Our founders, Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel, were pioneers in bringing people together from all walks of life in an inclusive way. Today, we want the same for our employees.
