Any authorized (DOD, WOD) Dominican Republic Independent Business Owner can place their order directly through the Service Center.

Commission Payment
Commission payments will be paid by a check via the Service Center in Santo Domingo or by direct deposit with Banco Popular Dominicano (RD$).

PV/BV Transfers
PV/BV transfers are available via telephone, fax and email.

Retail margin or mark up for Amway products averages about 30% but varies with each product. The average retail margin for this market is 11 – 30%.

Starter Kit Purchasing
Any Dominican Republic Independent Business Owner may purchase a Dominican Republic Kit. The Dominican Republic Kit is available only through the Dominican Republic Selection Center.

RD$4,617.63 (includes 16% ITBIS tax)

Sponsoring
If you wish to sponsor an individual in the Dominican Republic and you are not an authorized Dominican Republic Independent Business Owner, by working with your line of sponsorship you will be able to obtain assistance of a servicing Direct Independent Business Owner. That Direct Independent Business Owner will provide the necessary local registration pack to your prospect.

Business Type
Currently, there are no other classifications of Independent Business Owner apart from the traditional Independent Business Owner.

Establish a Second Business

International Sponsoring
International sponsoring is always an option and an excellent means of expanding your business while avoiding many of the costs and complexities associated with establishing a second business. Please note: For those markets where foreigners are able to establish a second business, they must be the international sponsor of their second business in another country.

Legal and Tax Guide
For operating the business a business license called a Patent is required. For tax identification a Cedula number is required. A Cedula number is a personal tax identification number. For a corporation a RNC (Registro Nacional de Contribuyente) is used as a tax Identification number. Registration for ITBIS (Sales tax/Value added tax) is required if monthly retail sales exceeds certain thresholds. Independent Business Owners are required to keep balanced books.

Any authorized Amway Independent Business Owner who has registered with a Dominican Republic address can purchase products. Commissions will be escrowed without a tax number on file.

Returns/Refunds
Products/Starter Kits may be returned at the Dominican Republic Warehouse. Complete SA-112DR and return with product to the warehouse. The SA-112DR is processed and the refund is received in the next commission check.

Receive Commission Payment
A Cedula Number (which is like a social security number) is required. Once on file, the commission payment (check) will be issued to the Independent Business Owner via the Service Center in Santo Domingo.

Please note: Renewal is only necessary in one market for Canada/United States/Dominican Republic
