In response to the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan on New Year’s Day, Amway today announced plans to contribute $50,000 USD to recovery efforts for those impacted by the devastating disaster. The entrepreneur-led health and wellbeing company will match Amway Business Owner (ABO) and employee donations up to an additional $25,000 USD.
On the ground support
Amway has partnered with a local non-profit in Japan to provide on-the-ground support.
Amway Japan ABOs and employees are raising funds to support local ABOs who have been impacted by the earthquake. As of January 22, more than 12 mil. JPY ($85,700 USD) has been collected. In addition to the ABO relief program, Amway Japan is raising public donations locally through an online platform.
Our thoughts continue to be with those impacted by the earthquake.
