Amway receives WQA award for excellence

Amway, along with the Nutrilite Power of 5 campaign, is being honored for work to improve nutrition, health and wellness through cleaner water. For the first time ever, the Water Quality Association, or WQA, is honoring entire companies with an award for excellence.

The WQA is a trade organization based in the U.S. that is dedicated to promoting the importance of clean water around the world. The group says Amway and the Nutrilite Power of 5 campaign were a perfect fit for excellence award.

Amway also gained attention for a cutting-edge, portable water filtration device called BlueQ. The patented device is a lightweight, foam-based filter system that can filter out contaminants from water in parts of the world where clean water is scarce. Recently, a non-profit group called the Wishing Well International Foundation took BlueQ filters on a relief mission to Africa, and installed a number of them in communities that needed better access to clean water.

Amway eventually plans to partner with a relief organization to distribute the BlueQ filters in locations around the world.

Amway was also chosen because of products like the eSpring water filtration device, as well as work to provide the micronutrient supplement Little Bits to children in in the critical age range of six months to five years of age.

“We wanted to be able to recognize companies that are going above and beyond in customer service, innovation, community service, as well as just general business operations,” says Pauli Undesser, Executive Director of the WQA.

Amway has been a member company in the WQA for decades, and plans to continue to work with the group on future projects and collaborations.
